DPC co-founder and Senior Associate Kurt Bassuener responds to Kati Marton, Richard Holbrooke’s widow, on her November 28 op-ed in The New York Times. In his letter, Bassuener agrees with Marton’s central thesis that the US has effectively disengaged and that the EU is not addressing BiH’s fundamental problems, as well as proposing that America take initiative in bringing Germany on-side for a more honest and constructive approach to put Bosnian politicians on the spot.
